Data Integrity as a Service
At AAR, we don't just store data; we protect its truth. Our platform is built on open standards and cryptographic verification.
Our Notable Frameworks
We use globally recognized standards to ensure your school's data is managed with professional rigor.
ODI Silver Certified
Verified by the Open Data Institute for metadata transparency and integrity.
ODbL Licensed
Our database rights are managed under the Open Database License, the same standard used by OpenStreetMap.
NIST Aligned
Built following the NIST Privacy Framework for robust data protection and privacy.
Official Certification
Cryptographic Verification
To prevent grade tampering, every AAR terminal report is assigned a unique SHA-256 digital fingerprint. This hash is generated the moment a report is finalized and cannot be changed.
SHA256: 8f3a5b2c91d7e4f0a6b5c4d3e2f1a0b9c8d7e6f5a4b3c2d1e0f9a8b7c6d5e4f3
Parents and administrators can verify any printed or digital report by entering its hash on our verification portal.
Data Quality & Support
We acknowledge that data errors can occur during migration or manual entry. We are committed to transparency regarding our data quality.
Reporting Issues: If you notice any discrepancies in an academic report, please contact your school administration first. For technical data integrity issues, you can reach our team at info@archov.com.
Quality Control Process
Our "Privacy by Design" approach includes a multi-layered Quality Control (QC) process to ensure every report is accurate:
- Automated Validation: Our system performs range checks on all numeric grades (0-100) and flags outliers for teacher review.
- Cross-Reference Checks: We automatically verify that student IDs match their respective classes and subjects before report generation.
- Manual Teacher Review: Every report must be "Released" by a class teacher, providing a human layer of verification before it reaches parents.
- Audit Logs: Every change to a student's grade is logged with a timestamp and the identity of the user who made the change.
Persistence & Backups
Your school's data is an asset that we protect for the long term. We have robust measures in place to prevent data loss.
- Offsite Backups: We perform automated daily backups to geographically redundant, offsite storage. This ensures that even in the event of a regional data center failure, your records remain safe.
- Data Longevity: Academic records are part of our core operations and are intended to stay published and accessible for a minimum of 7 years, in accordance with educational best practices.
- Reliability: Built on top-tier cloud infrastructure, our services maintain a 99.9% uptime target.
Data Accessibility & Formats
We ensure that our data isn't just secure, but also useful and accessible for authorized institutional analysis using industry-standard open formats.
- Standard Open Formats: All academic datasets are stored and processed in JSON and CSV, ensuring that the data is not locked into proprietary formats and can be easily utilized by other systems.
- Types of Data Published:
- Human-Readable Documents: Comprehensive academic terminal reports for parents.
- Statistical Data: Aggregated academic metrics including class averages, subject percentages, and attendance counts.
- Structured Metadata: Machine-readable student and school information for administrative tracking.
- Persistent Identifiers: We utilize **UUIDs (Universally Unique Identifiers)** for all student records and academic reports. These identifiers are embedded within **permanent URLs** that resolve to provide detailed academic information for authorized stakeholders.
- Machine-Readable Provenance: Every data record includes a complete audit trail, including **creation timestamps**, **modification history**, and the **originating school identifier**. This provenance data is machine-readable and linked to each report's cryptographic hash for absolute transparency.
- Publication Series: We publish academic reports as a series of consistent URLs based on these persistent identifiers.
Data Archival & Retention
We treat academic history as a permanent asset for student growth. Our system ensures that your school's legacy data is preserved with integrity.
- Automatic Archiving: When a new academic term is initialized, all previous data is automatically maintained in a "Historical" state. It remains fully accessible for audit, review, and trend analysis.
- Immutable Reports: Once a terminal report is finalized and cryptographically hashed, it can never be altered or deleted, even as you move into new academic years.
- 7-Year Retention: In alignment with international educational standards, we maintain accessible archives of all student records for a minimum of 7 years, ensuring that alumni records are always available when needed.
